As we begin heading into spring, generally the releases start to get better and better, and this week is proof positive. Today’s a banner release day with the return of some legends and the beginning of some future legends. Of course, PJ Harvey releasing anything is always an event. The Mercury Prize winner is back with The Hope Six Demolition Project, which promises to be as intriguing and captivating as the rest of her essentially flawless career. Indie kings Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros delivered their brand of down home rock and Kevin Morby is making his case for becoming a classic songwriter with Singing Saw. Cate Le Bon is continuing her insane streak of must listens with Crab Day, and those wanting a little more understated darkness in their songwriting have the return of Suuns to look forward to. Bear Hands is giving us indie pop mayhem with You’ll Pay for This and future pop mega star Aurora released her debut All My Demons are Greeting Me as Friends, an album that you’ll be hearing about for a long time.
