My experience with Pixi glow tonic cleansing gel

How is the packaging?

It comes in a tube packaging with a flip open cap. The tube is in pastel orange color and cap in pastel green color. I love pastels and I totally loved the packaging of their entire range. It’s easy to use and leakage proof.

How is the consistency and color of Pixi glow tonic cleansing gel?

As the name suggests, it is a clear gel. It has a slightly runny consistency.

How is the fragrance of Pixi glow tonic cleansing gel?

The fragrance is not strong and doesn’t have any significant smell. I tried to smell it just for including it in the review and I would not suggest you to smell it. It has glycolic acid so the smell is something different and similar to chemicals I have smelled in my Biochemistry lab. All that I can say is don’t try to inhale it strongly.

The fragrance is not disturbing at all.

How is this Pixi glow tonic cleansing gel?

This cleansing gel has glycolic acid which is an AHA and acts as a chemical exfoliator. So I would suggest you to use sunscreen after washing your face with this cleanser though the percentage is not mentioned anywhere.

When you use it on your face and as you try to massage your face just like how you do with any cleanser or face wash, you will notice that the product melts into the skin. This is something really new to me as I have never tried any such cleanser before. It is a clear transparent gel, doesn’t feel sticky, doesn’t lather and it almost feels like there’s nothing on the face except water (because I wet my face before using face wash/cleansers).

Here comes the twist! So when I used it for the first time, even though I felt like nothing is on the face I massaged my face for nearly 30 seconds (mentioned in directions to use) and I felt something peeling off on my cheeks. Very minute gel-like thing balled up on cheeks aaaand when I washed my face I could instantly feel my skin bright, cleansed and matte.

And I noticed that peeling off thingy only during the first wash. From the second wash, it just melted into the skin and post washing gave the same feel.

This cleansing gel didn’t not strip off excess oil from my face (I have oily T-zone & normal skin on the rest of my face). When my face was too oily, it didn’t give my face stretchy feel but when face was kind of normal I did feel a little tightness on cheeks which disappeared after apply a light moisturizer.

I use it either in the morning or at night. I don’t use this twice a day.

A little product is enough for one time use. When you use it for the first time you may be confused like did I use very little product because it dissolves into the skin and doesn’t foam at all but then be ready to get a cleansed face.

This will also be best suited for double-cleansing. And yeah it stings when used around the eyes.
