Pitt Players Shine in Bowl Win

By Kipper @pghsportsforum
Pitt clinches a winning season with their bowl win against Bowling Green last night. Riding James Connor, and sailing with Tyler Boyd, Pitt had plenty of splash plays for a great and entertaining game from start to finish. In typical Pitt fashion, they didn't blow out their opponent but played competitive, hard nosed game filled with passion and grit, on both sides of the ball. After Savage left the game with a rib injury Chad Voytik came in and played well, throwing a 64 yard strike for his longest play of the season, and also rushing for an important touchdown. Paul Chryst did a great job this year, and I am really looking forward to next season. I think Pitt played very well in the inaugural ACC season. I hope that Chryst can stick around here for a good many years. The expectation that there is a coach out there who can magically turn this program into a national championship team is beyond ridiculous. I think there is room for Pitt to grow the program and be highly competitive in the ACC, which is what we should be shooting for, and i think Chryst can do the job.
