Pitt : BREAKING: Pitt Changes Color Scheme to Black and Gold

By Kipper @pghsportsforum
Didn't see this coming at all. Heather Lyke has only officially been the AD for a week and she's already making big moves. Not sure I'm a fan of this. Lyke said this was to "align the Panthers with the rest of Pittsburgh's sports teams" and attract the casual Yinzer to Pitt. She did say the Script would not be touched. She also said this was also to commemorate big time alum and booster John Petersen's two year anniversary of his passing, who actually wanted Pitt to switch over to black and gold back in the early 2000's (that's why the big Pitt logo in the Pete lobby is black and gold).
Here's some photos they took modeling the new uniforms, with a mock-up of what it'll look like on the field. Looks like the same uniforms from last year with updated colors. She also did this at her old job at Eastern Michigan when she added grey to the color scheme and renamed the stadium "The Factory" in honor of East Michigan's industrial history. What's your guys thoughts on this?
