The Republicans are taking some heat for their cavalier disregard for the truth in Tampa. There are exceptions to the general rule, however. Lindsey Graham, Republican senator from South Carolina:
The demographics race we're losing badly. We're not generating enough angry white guys to stay in business for the long term.
He's right, they're not. It used to be the party of the country club and the board room but where would it be now without the pissed off owners of all-terrain vehicles? In the Twin Cities, first Kerry and then Obama carried the quintessentially affluent suburbs of Edina and Minnetonka. I hope Graham is urging a change of course, not a doubling down on the Caucasion provocation strategy.
