In preparation for the Pillsbury Bake-Off, the Doughboy visited GE’s production line.
Pillsbury and GE are set to make this the most delicious holiday season ever, with the Pillsbury Bake-Off finals next week. The annual baking competition will conclude with the final event November 10-12 at the Aria Resort & Casino in Las Vegas.
The GE JB750SFSS is the official oven of the Pillsbury Bake-Off.
At the final championship, 100 finalists will be using a GE model JB750SFSS convection range oven to bake their original recipes before presenting them for judging. The grand prize winner will leave with a $1 million dollar award and $10,000 in GE kitchen appliances.
As an official sponsor and provider of the ovens to be used in the final stage of the competition, GE will also be contributing a special prize in the competition. The GE Imagination At Work Award is presented to the finalist whose recipe is deemed the most innovative. Whoever wins the GE award will get to choose $5,000 in GE kitchen appliances for their home.
This year, there are three categories into which the recipes submitted are divided: Dinners, Appetizers and Sweets, and Breakfasts. All of the entries must use 7 ingredients or less, and take less than 30 minutes to prepare.

A Delicious Tradition
The Pillsbury Bake-Off is one of the oldest and largest amateur cooking competitions in the world. The original event was held at the Waldorf Astoria hotel in New York City.
Today, the Pillsbury Bake-Off accepts submissions in the spring for each year’s competition. A recipe must be original and use at least two predetermined products while containing less than seven ingredients – restrictions that really make the competition focus on creativity! An initial selection of the recipes are chosen by a panel of judges. The judges’ top picks are then voted on by the public at BakeOff.com.
