Hi readers I hope you are having a great Sunday and hoping you had a fun Thanksgiving. My post today is my personal view post on "Sometimes You Feel Like Giving Up". I know I post on Fashion and other things and Also my personal things that goes on in my life. Lately I have been feeling like throwing in the towel and stop blogging, I feel like is it worth it to continue? I guess everyone is doing it and have something really interesting to talk about and share and I don't.
I have just been feeling down in the dumps and not feeling well and we just moved to a new apartment and I still feel a little overwhelmed about things. My children are growing up and they are not the same little kids, now my oldest daughter wants to go her separate way and it makes me feel like a failure. She's almost 18 years old and next year she graduates from high school.Am I having a mid life crisis or something? Sometimes I don't feel like myself or maybe it's because I'm getting older and I'm more in my feelings. I feel so stressed most of the time when problems arise but I try to hold things together.
I went to bible study yesterday and I must say it made me feel so much better, my husband and two of my younger children went. They both read poems aloud and one that struck me most is a poem my son read called" You Mustn't Quit" It hit home just for me because I tend to want to give up when things don't go right in my life.
You Mustn't Quit By Edgar A. Guest http://www.godswork.org/enpoem157.htm
When things go wrong, as they sometimes will,
When the road you're trudging seems all uphill,
When the funds are low and the debts are high,
And you want to smile but you have to sigh,
When care is pressing you down a bit
Rest if you must but Don't You Quit!
Life is strange with its twists and turns,
As every one of us sometimes learns,
And many a fellow turns about
When he might have won had he stuck it out.
Don't give up through the pace seems slow
You may succeed with another blow.
Often the goal is nearer than
It seems to a faint and faltering man
Often the struggler has given up
When he might have captured the victor's cup
And he learned too late when the night came down
How close he was to the golden crown.
Success is failure turned inside out
The silver tint of the clouds of doubt,
And you never can tell how close you are,
It may be near when it seems afar
So stick to the fight when you're hardest hit
It's when things seem the worst
That You Mustn't Quit!
What a great poem it tells you no matter what struggles hit you in life to not give up. I learned in bible study that your blessing is right around the corner, it may seem so far away and if you give up to fast you will miss out on that blessing. Life can really get you down sometimes but you must remain strong even if the bills are heavily coming in, if you are sick, or whatever is going on in your life. I will keep on keeping on until I get a breakthrough.
