The Mac Cosmetics Products I used:
I had used 3 MAC Cosmetics products to recreate the look.
1. MAC Prep+Prime Beauty Balm SPF 35: Well to be honest, I wanted to try the compact version of the BB cream as it was the one used on me before. But I got the cream one which is in a tube and I love it as it gives a pretty nice coverage and a nice glow to the skin. I applied the BB cream with my favorite Stippling brush to give an even coverage.
2. MAC Strobe Cream: Often considered as the "It" product by makeup artists around the globe, the Strobe Cream is the one single item that you need in your stash to give a illuminated skin instantly. I use it quite stringently as I like subtle glow. So I apply it on the cheeks and tip of nose and a little on the forehead. It gives a wonderful sheen to the skin, nothing outrageous but an even naturally lit up skin.
3. MAC Prep + Prime Fix+: Another cult favourite, the Prep + Prime Fix can be sprayed on the face both before and after makeup. I prefer to use it for setting my makeup specially for this look as I was the hostess of the party and I had to run errands serving guests and looking after things to be perfect. I did not want to look tired and it really kept my makeup set for hours.
I finished the minimalistic makeup with a nude lipstick and a dash of mascara. At MAC, my favorite Ruby Woo was used for a glam look, but I liked to keep it toned down this time so have chosen this nude shade.
For my personal preference I have kept the look minimalistic, however, with some more colours like eyeshadow, liners, contouring and a bright lip shade, you can modify and glam up the look. Let me know if you would like to see a glammed up look with the same base makeup.
