Pearl and the Beard Make Us Want Even More with ‘you’ [stream]

Earlier this week, one of our absolute favorites (and Brooklyn locals) Pearl and the Beard dropped their electrifying single “You” off their upcoming album Beast. If you haven’t already given it a listen you can above, but let’s just say that if you’re anxiously awaiting Beast’s release, then this track will only make you want it even more. If we were all 10 year olds and Beast was that succulent slice of cake we were promised after dinner, then “You” has sent us into a full on sugar demanding hissy fit.

Breaking away from their foundations in pop, Americana, and mermaid folk, “You” brings a commanding fuzz-rock feel that drives the single towards a new sound that’s both exciting and strong. Paired with the characteristically beautiful harmonies that Pearl and the Beard lovers have come to know, we think that “You” and Beast will most definitely turn our adoration for the Brooklyn trio into full-blown obsession. Pearl and the Beard is currently touring in support of Wild Child and will be headlining Rough Trade NYC at the end of this month!
