PeachDish: Fresh Ingredients Delivered!

Looks delicious, doesn't it?
I got that in the mail. Well, not exactly. I got the ingredients to make all of that in the mail. PeachDish

is an Atlanta-based startup company focused on helping people connect with their kitchens. It isn't hard to make restaurant-worthy meals in your own home.  These Southern-infused and international-inspired recipes are mailed directly to your door, with all of the necessary ingredients to put together the delicious meals the PeachDish chefs come up with. The menus change weekly, so you'll always have something new to try! When you sign up, you'll automatically get notified of each week's meal when it's announced. Then you decide whether you want to order!
PeachDish recently contacted me to see if I would like to try out a week of their service. A box full of yummy ingredients to make dinner? I'm in! A day later, I was greeted at my doorstep with everything I needed to make the above-mentioned  meal.
I have never tried kumquats before, so this was new and exciting. And the mash? Turnips and potatoes...great combination, but certainly not something I would have thought of on my own. The best thing about trying out a service such as PeachDish is the inspiration it sparks up inside of you. New cooking techniques, ingredients, flavors, styles of food...it's all right there. I halved the recipe and made this entire meal for myself for dinner. The kale salad was super refreshing and citrusy, and the mahi mahi had a lot of flavor from the parsley and chives. But I have to say, my favorite was the mash. Horseradish really gave this side dish a lot of depth. It was just the right amount without being too spicy.

I was also given a menu and ingredients for Lemon-Dill Chicken and Orzo Soup with homemade pita chips and herb goat cheese. Since I don't eat meat, I didn't make this one...but I did use the pita chips and goat cheese. You all know about my love affair with goat cheese...
PeachDish meals aren't your easy mac & cheese weeknight meals; these are fancy-schmancy foodie-approved recipes that are sure to please your taste buds.
Disclaimer: I was provided with a free week of PeachDish, which includes recipes and ingredients for two menus. I have no obligation to continue a subscription with the company. As always, all opinions are my own.
