PEACE on the Alps

By Artborghi @artborghi

After a short climb up along the close by parking place, surrounded by cows, fields and Churfirsten…

… here the Paxmal appears in its beautiful meaning.

Facing Flumserberg Alps, a small pool at the entrance,

the Paxmal is a peace monument built by Karl Bickel between 1924 and 1949.

The inner space mosaics represent the social responsibilities towards citizens from birth to death.

The left wall depicts the earthly life: a human couple in its existence and development, love and procreation. Pay a visit to it and admire it in its whole beauty.
