Trying out this acne skin care regime by Paulas Choice, it consists of a gentle cleanser that so far reminds me of the Cetaphil gentle skin cleanser, and 2% Salicylic Acid 'toning' exfoliant, and last but not least a 2.5% Benzoyl Peroxide gel treatment.
I do have sensitive acne prone skin that is very combination. I've suffered from many degrees of acne. At my worst 60% of my face was covered in active pustules and extremely greasy and uncomfortable. Lucky though in recent times I've been able to keep it balanced to 5% or less acne on my face. I have recently gotten the opportunity to test out this Clear acne skincare routine by Paulas Choice. Being a makeup blogger/artist/enthusiast whatever you want to call it I find it most important to keep my skin as clear and smooth as possible as it is my canvas so I'm always open to trying skincare to treat and prevent acne. Also I'm a total product junkie. :)
I've been using it now only for about a week and I've developed some painful under the skin acne....which I haven't had for a long time now. I'm hoping this is just a 'purging' and adjusting phase as I know this can happen when switching up your skincare products. It's caused these breakouts in areas that I haven't broke out since over a year now so it's very disappointing to me. But I will not pass an official verdict until I test it out for longer. I will keep you posted on my progress with this acne skincare line.
