English post-progressive musician Paul Draper teamed up with Steven Wilson for his new single, Omega Man, inspired by the 1971 dystopian film. It is a clash of harsh electronics and a gentle melody, with the lyrics discussing the isolation and sense of impending doom during the pandemic. The video was directed by George Laycock. They filmed it in Pripyat, a city that was evacuated the day after the Chernobyl disaster.
It is a track from his forthcoming new album, Cult Leader Tactics, a satirycal concept album about self-help books, due for release on January 28th. It is available for pre-order h here.
