Patriotic Themed Wedding

With Memorial Day under our belts and the Fourth of July right around the corner, stars and stripes are everywhere. If you’re donning the white dress soon, or thinking of having a summer wedding in the future, why not add in some red and blue for a patriotic theme!

This shoot by Siegel Thurston Photography displays some wonderful ways to incorporate American pride into your big day.

The best part about a patriotic wedding is that all the elements can be unique and lovely, yet so simple. An outdoor setting would work great with the casual charm of the theme, but if you prefer indoors, aim for a rustic venue. Seat your guests at wooden tables with modest floral centerpieces, like these baskets of red roses. Stars, decorative branches and colored ribbons are simple touches that can become a pretty addition to your party.

A beautiful spread of blue, white and red!

With red shoes and a blue bouquet, you can even give your wedding attire a flag-inspired flare. As for food, patriotic pastries are a must. Mini fruit tarts, cupcakes, and other American favorites are easy to make and can fit into the color scheme. This American flag cake is an awesome touch!

Any red, white and blue-tiful wedding is going to need some entertainment. America is a melting pot of musical styles, but a country or blue grass band would definitely keep in tune with the theme.

With simple accents and a few personal touches, this theme is the perfect way to say “I do” in the summer. Oh say, can you see- a patriotic wedding in your future? Leave a comment and let us know!
