Pasteli (Sesame Honey Bars)

500 gr. herb honey

500 gr. sesame seeds

olive oil to grease


Toast in a pan the sesame seeds until golden brown. Boil in low heat the honey for 10 minutes. Remove from heat. Add the sesame seeds into the boiled honey. Meanwhile grease a kitchen paper with the olive oil and cover the paper with the mixture of honey and flattened with a wooden roll in 1 cm thick. Let it cool for 10 minutes. With a greasy knife grabar in cubes or triangles the sesame bars. Let the bars cool and cut with your fingers the cubes.

Tip: Do not overcook the honey and been caramelized.
