Part-Time Firefighters
Are you, or is anyone you know, interested in becoming a firefighter? The Vadnais Heights Fire Department is seeking individuals to fill these positions.
The fire department responds to over 1,000 emergency calls per year. Firefighters also participate in community events, such as Fire Prevention and Education, Booya, Heritage Days, Fire Department Open House, Minnesota Night To Unite, etc. The hourly wage is between $9.50 and $15.00/hr. with an average scheduled work assignment of 64-hours per three-month period. Persons already certified in EMT and Firefighter I&II are encouraged to apply, however, the City will provide required training for those applicants who have limited or no experience. Interviews will be conducted the week of April 10 and physical agility testing will be conducted on May 6.
