Requirements:
The applicants shall possess the appropriate EMS certification and NC Fire/Rescue Commission FF I & II, Emergency Vehicle Driver (or equivalent), and Hazardous Materials Level I (Operations). In addition, Paramedic applicants must possess a valid Healthcare Provider CPR card, ACLS, & PALS certification, and must be able to obtain AMLS & PHTLS within one year of hiring. If the applicant is not boarded in Carteret County, hiring will be contingent upon clearance from the Carteret County Medical Director. All applicants shall possess or be able to obtain a NC DMV Class B driver’s license within thirty days of the date of hire. Applicants must also have ICS 100 & 200 & NIMS 700 & 800 within ninety days.
