Parquet Courts Announce New Album, Gifts Us with New Jam [stream]

Given the lightning speed with which Parquet Courts record new music, it should come as no surprise that they’ve announced the follow up full length to the absolutely amazing Light Up Gold after just a year — but still, it’s fine news! We were pretty heavily in love with the shambling, energetic rock of Light Up Gold and last years Tally All The Things You Broke EP, and based on the new track that’s been released for the announcement, we’re destined to fall hard for the new record as well. “Sunbathing Animal”, the title track of the record, is explosively energetic, rocketing forward on the pure force of Andrew Savage’s shouting vocals and held aloft by that same shambling guitar that has become such a trademark of their sound.
