Parkjam Announced As Newest London Music Festival

With five genres across seven nights in September, the Parkjam Music Festival is coming to London, Ontario to make some noise and entertain thousands of music lovers.

Anchored by BlockParty, the two-day EDM festival that Londoners have loved for years, Parkjam adds five new nights, four new genres, and a lot of opportunities for fans to pick the genres and artists they love for a live event that looks to be something new and special.

The seven-day festival is not a week-long party, but a split festival running from September 5 to 8 and 13 to 15, 2019 at Harris Park in London. It's great to see that festival organizers have recognized that summer will have ended, weekdays aren't as available for late nights and parties, but weekends (and Thursdays) are still available for big fun.

The full schedule, with genre and daily programming information is set to be released one piece at a time over the next few weeks. But for now, we know that Country Night will take over Harris Park on Friday, September 6.

And while we don't know exactly what to expect from the remaining four nights of the festival, we are expecting a rock night, and hip-hop night, perhaps a retro/90s night, and more.

In a press release announcing Parkjam, festival director Demetri Manuel says, "We are excited to take our two-day BlockParty festival to a new level. Our BlockParty brand and it's two nights filled with electronic dance music will remain as the heart of the festival, and Parkjam will surround the remaining dates with more live music experiences".

With students set to be back in the city at the University of Western Ontario and Fanshaw College, and London's reputation for loving live music of all genres, we expect a great turnout, and a lot of people out to have fun at the inaugural Bud Light presented Parkjam Music Festival in 2019.

Stay tuned for new information, lineups, and more as the festival gets closer.
