Paragon Cause 5 Quick Questions [New EP Lies Between Us]

Ottawa-based Paragon Cause, the indie-electronica duo, dropped their latest EP Lies Between Us on September 13th.

Produced by Sune Rose Wagner of The Raveonettes, the EP is part of a series of releases culminating in a full-length album expected in 2020. Wagner responded to a tweet sent out by guitarist/songwriter Jay Bonaparte expressing his wish to work with the Danish songwriter, singer, guitarist. After a series of interactions, Wagner came up from New York City to produce the EP with Bonaparte and keyboardist/vocalist Michelle Othop (keyboardist and vocals).

Together they've put together a spectacular sound rich with melodies, catchy hooks, and an organic vibe. The collaboration is striking.

"Sometimes I will come up with a guitar idea or Michelle will come up with a vocal idea or a lyric and we will sit down at the piano and jam it out. It's very organic. It's pretty amazing how connected we are when we're writing music together," - Jay Bonaparte
