Like most dietitians, I am extremely type A. Everything has a place and that’s where it should be. So when I visit Brent on the weekends, his messy pantry always drives me nuts. Well not anymore!! I had a blast organizing using a mixture of glass jars from Michael’s & estate sales. I was able to purchase the containers from Michael’s during a sale & combining with my ‘20% off entire purchase’ coupon. I am in love with the finished product and the chalk labels (also found at Michael’s).
I like the mixture of red, silver, and teal. I used a basket to house some random items like bread and seasoning packets. On the bottom shelf I am using a bowl my grandma gave me to contain the garlic and onions.
I was able to utilize space by placing wire racks in the back, which I found for a few bucks at an estate sale
These jars may be my favorite, I haven’t quite decided yet. I found each one at a different estate sale. I paid $0.50 for one and about $5 for the other two. I was amazed to keep seeing the same shape jar at different estate sales in San Antonio and Conroe. I bought them thinking I would use them in the bathroom for cotton balls, Q-Tips, etc. but decided they would be better suited for the pantry.
I couldn’t forget about the tea! Brent and I love tea; his favorite is chamomile & mine is mint. I decided to make the labels pretty non-descriptive because we do like to try new flavors often. Plus these chalk pens erase with a damp cloth, so no commitment and no smudges like regular chalk!
Hope you enjoyed this organization post & that it inspires you to get organized in your home!!
