Panasonic Lumix GH4 Camera is a pro-level camera brings 4K video capture to the party and the company has now announced a UK release date and price.
The GH4 is able to shoot 4K at 30/24/24fps at 100Mbps using ALL-Intra compression, with the broadcast standard raising to 200Mbps for 1080p.
There is a wide compatibility with Micro Four Third lenses and you will also find a new 16.05-megapixel MOS sensor and the latest Venus Engine IX powering the camera.
The sensor offers a new autofocus system called DFD that means depth from defocus, which creates optimum performance with the Micro Four Thirds lenses.
Unnecessary focus hunting is minimised as the minimum and maximum defocus points are known for each lens and the electronic coupling between lens and body extracts this data to deliver a defined range.
You will be able to pick up a Panasonic Lumix GH4 Camera from 5 May with the body only costing £1300. For a 14-140mm lens, the price increases to £1750 and for body only with an Interface unity, you are looking at £2500.
If you pre-order before between 10 March and 2 June, you will get a free battery and battery grip.
