Painted Wrapped Books with Chronicle

By Thehousethatlarsbuilt @houselarsbuilt
Painted wrapped books with ChronicleI teamed up with Chronicle Books this holiday season on their #GiveBooks campaign. For every book bought they would donate a book to First Book. They FAR exceeded their 10,000 book goal and to celebrate they are offering Lars readers 30%  off everything you order on their website until the 31st of December. Just use the code GIVEBOOKS at checkout. Chronicle has some of my favorite titles. I even received these ten books to give out to some of my favorite people: Painted wrapped books with ChronicleI had a half hour to dress them up before my visitors arrived so I first wrapped them in red and white butcher paper and had to figure out a quick way to make them seem a tad more festive.

So I added eyes and a mouth onto them so they weren't as offensive.Painted wrapped books with ChroniclePainted wrapped books with ChronicleIf you're looking for a quick and easy and CHEAP way to decorate your gifts, try it! I love adding a homemade touch onto everything so it feels a tad more special.
Plus, because of the butcher paper, it won't bleed through. Score! I just went to town with three colors of acrylic: black, red, and turquoise.
I still have one more holiday post to share with you tomorrow then a few New Year's ideas next week so stay tuned!
