Oysters and Quail Eggs

Thank you for sharing in my Colombia excitement! I can hardly wait. There are about 6 weeks until I go though so I'm trying to enjoy myself the fullest until then. One more reason why Anna and I recently got together for my favorite time of day: happy hour.  oysters and quail eggs I'm only kind of kidding about that... but not for the reason you're thinking. I love happy hour for the glorious deals it brings. Tangled Vine, for instance, offers $6-8 pours of organic wines and $1 oysters from 5-7pm each night. oysters and quail eggs The sun was still shining when we got there. Anna and I had to meander my way through the fratty crowds at Gin Mill before taking a seat at a comfortable hightop table in the intimate yet bright Upper West Side wine bar. It was so worth it. oysters and quail eggs The company was obviously lovely, the Cabernet Franc was perfectly chilled, and the oysters were deliciously fresh. Anna seemed to enjoy her white wine trio and quail egg crostini as well. Yet another successful happy hour for the books :).
