Owls, a Big Red Truck and a Fall Day

Weather this time of year in the mid-Atlantic area can be pretty unpredictable. One morning it's sunny and 75 and then that same afternoon turns cloudy and 50. The solution to these unforeseeable weather patterns is layering. For the outfit below, I would have added navy blue tights (love pairing shorts with cute tights in the Fall/Winter) and either a gray blazer or brown leather jacket depending on how chilly of a day.

Designers are continuing with the bird theme and I'm loving this owl tank I found at Forever 21!

The other thing I wanted to note in this post - is that for trendier pieces, such as these shorts, I try to pair with more timeless pieces, such as this cardigan...I think it helps pull everything together and not seem too overboard!
