Over the Knee Boots

By Boo_brown
A big trend this A/W is over the knee boots, something us plus size ladies probably think is out of our reach, chubby calves make buying regular boots hard, let alone the over the knee variety but today i have two pairs for you that fit me (my calves are 18").
First up is a pair from New Look, which are a bargain at £39.99 and come in brown as well. They are from the wide range which means they have a bit of extra room and gave me hope.

From the front these look great, come well over my knee, are comfy, there is a bit of bagginess in the ankles, (i have quite slim ankles). They are pull on and the back is made of a stretchy material which is what lets my fat legs in. They have buckles, i only just managed to get the top one done up but there is a bit of room to put an extra hole in yourself. I found the backs came up a bit high on me and could get uncomfortable if wearing for a long period of time. Nice flat sole (i'm a no heel zone). All in all a nice little surprise.
The second pair are from Simply Be and these are on sale for £68. They come in two width fittings and three calf fittings.

Now the main problem with these is that that they aren't actually over the knee, and i'm not even tall, so i don't really know what went wrong, they need to be a few inches taller at the front however they are stunning. The back detail is lovely and really makes these boots stand out. They have a half zip to help get them on. Now i think i got super curvy (Simply Be don't tell you what you ordered calf wise which isn't helpful) and these were too big for me, i think i look a bit like Dick Whittington so i have ordered the calf size and foot size down, i could get these off without having to unzip them so i'm hoping the next size are a better fit. Even though they aren't over the knee i still love them so just had to keep them.
