Our Trip to Philadelphia- September 2011

By Chelseajmartin

Alright, so this post is MORE than a day late but hopefully not a dollar short. I finally got around to organizing my pictures from the summer and early fall of 2011 and realized I hadn’t put together a comprehensive post of Chris and I’s first trip to Philadelphia back in September.

We headed out to the East on official Farmbrook Designs business (a.k.a making a hypertufa delivery) and got to spend some time in Philly. We hit up a great restaurant, A. Kitchen, in downtown, visited the Reading Terminal Market, and walked through several of the “districts” by the river front.

Brunch at A. Kitchen was pretty amazing. (Check out my YELP review here) We ordered the frisee salad topped with a poached egg and bacon served on a hash brown and the asparagus, mushroom, and aged goat cheese omelet with herb potatoes. Both were excellent.

While at the Reading Terminal Market we enjoyed some cold oysters and other delicious treats! (Check out my YELP review here) Overall I must say the city of brotherly love treated us well but we needed WAY more time.
