Our Top Picks for Eat Drink Perth 2018Get excited because it's that time of year again when you have the opportunity to Eat Drink Perth! From the 1 st of March, it's a month long celebration of brilliant eateries in and around Perth with over 100 events and specials from Perth's thriving food industry.

Tea Blending Workshop
I love a good cup of tea. A milky English breakfast is my preferred choice but floral herbal teas are also a favourite so Teassentials is my first pick for Eat Drink Perth 2018. During a 90-minute class, you'll be taught the art and science behind creating your very own blend of tea - sounds ideal for a tea lover such as myself! As well as teaching you all you need to know about tea, you also get to take home your very own signature infusion. Held on the 18 March and throughout April on the 8, 15 & 29 for $110.

High Tea at the Reveley
High tea has enjoyed a run of popularity recently and who doesn't enjoy the chance unwind with some friends over a cup of tea and scones. I'm keen to try out the ultimate high tea at the Reveley held every weekend between 3pm - 5pm. For $40 per person you can dine on in house baked sweet and savoury treats or upgrade to the Sparkling High Tea for $50. If you're feeling super indulgent you can dine on the Champagne High Tea ($60). If you have little ones who'd like to join you (6yrs-12yrs) they don't have to miss out either and can join you with their junior version.

How to Buy Wine Workshop
I like to buy wine but am totally guilty of judging a bottle by its label. I'm eyeing off this class run by State Buildings wine connoisseur, Emma Farrelly to help me make a more educated decision next time I'm at the local bottle-o. She'll teach the basics you need to know when selecting wine as well as explaining which climates and regions develop the best wine. Held at the Petition Kitchen on the 27 th March and 10 th April, from 6:30pm -8pm for $25, bargain. Tastings are also on offer so this sounds like a great event to hit up!

Mary Dumplings
Did someone say Dumplings?? I love dumplings and could happily eat dumplings until the end of time. The Melbourne Hotel, which has recently been closed for renovations, reopens late March and to celebrate, De Baun & Co at the Melbourne Hotel is offering Bloody Marys and dumplings for $14! Sounds like I need to book a night out with the girls. I'm also looking forward to checking out the new and improved hotel as they'll be home to the first Keisuke in Australia, the renowned ramen noodle bar. Brilliant.

Matilda Bay Lunch Special
I've dined at Matilda Bay for weddings and special occasions so their Eat Drink Perth 2018 offer sounds very appealing because you know it will be an amazing experience. For $55 you can choose a two-course lunch, which includes a glass of red or white wine. I've already decided mine will be the main and dessert option but if I'm feeling extra hungry, I can add an additional course for just $10. Located by the sparkling water in Crawley, I think this is one lunch I'll be taking the husband to, sans kids. It's sounds like the perfect place to get reacquainted.
