By Natasha Bhatt
Hi girls,Hope you all had a great week. Finally the weekend is here.. Yay! Weekend makes us all happy isn't it? My today's review is a concealer called Oriflame Studio Artist Concealer Illuma Flair in Medium. This concealer was given to me by a friend who found it too light for her. I have used this concealer for quite sometime and I can comfortably say what I think about it. Read on to know more...Oriflame Studio Artist Concealer Illuma Flair in Medium Review and Swatches

Ingredients: I threw the box away unfortunately. I have no idea.Price: Rs.279/- for 10ml. May be available on discount many times. What does Oriflame say about the product:Illuma Flair - light reflecting complex diffuses light to minimize fine lines and imperfections - dark circles, blemishes and veins seemingly disappear under a perfectly natural finish. Buildable coverage and moisturizing formula ensures weightless, comfortable wear and a stunning result.Oriflame Studio Artist Concealer Illuma Flair in Medium Review and Swatches

The concealer comes in a squeeze tube with a pointed outlet which helps in getting the right amount of concealer from the nozzle. The cap is decent enough but the thing is that all the concealer gets accumulated in the nozzle and makes a mess to be honest. The squeeze tube is transparent and hence you know the shade easily from the outside. You can travel with it because it does not leak but as I mentioned that if you take off the cap all the concealer is accumulated in it. Hence nothing exceptional but decent packaging.Oriflame Studio Artist Concealer Illuma Flair in Medium Review and SwatchesOriflame Studio Artist Concealer Illuma Flair in Medium Review and Swatches

The concealer comes in 3 shades: Light, Medium and Dark. The shade I am talking about is Medium. Well as I said that the shade was not chosen by me but I feel that it was ok for me because a shade lighter than this or darker than this may have not worked for me at all. The concealer is creamy and of good quality I must say. It brightens the under eye area when applied and I generally do apply them on my eyelids as they are pigmented to neutralize the skin tone. Now let me admit I have horrible dark circles. Since I started working years ago I developed them due to stress, night shifts at work  etc.

Now If I look few years back there were no blogs or that much information I could have known of to help me with my skin problems or dark circles. Today's teenagers are lucky in that department. Also there are so many brands  now which one can go for. So I would say I was unlucky that way. Anyhow coming back to the topic the area under my eyes is a but dry hence I do use almond oil and Aloe vera gel too to hydrate it first before applying the concealer and otherwise before sleeping at night. I do pat it and set it with a compact powder so it lasts long. Now the thing is that it does not help in concealing my dark circles completely.Over the years and my time being a blogger I realised that you need a corrector to neutralize your dark circles or may be a MAC concealer to conceal effectively. Well I have none. The corrector well I am looking to get one from is the  Kryolan one. Ok so I would say that it has decent coverage but not enough for dark circles and blemishes. I wish it improves on the coverage part. It claims about the light reflecting part which is true but I do not see that it reduces fine lines or wrinkles. The Good:Creamy. Can be used to conceal minor blemishes.Light texture and does not cake up.Available in 3 shades.Inexpensive as a concealer considering other brands.Travel friendly packaging. The not so Good:3 shades I feel may not be enough for most skin tones.Wish they work on the packaging as all concealer is accumulated on the nozzle. The concealer is not effective for those with dark circles - coverage is not good enough.Oriflame representatives are hard to find (not a con for me though)Does not reduce any fine lines or wrinkles.Rating:2.5/5This is definitely not a repurchase for me. Although I like the brightening part and the dewyness, the concealer does not work on my dark circles at all and is only used by me as an eye shadow primer. If you are lucky enough to not have terrible dark circles like me then this product is for you.I hope this review was helpful to all those reading.
