Today's post is about to the much hyped (OGX) Organix Brazilian keratin therapy shampoo and conditione r . Keratin treatment has become the latest development in hair care, but for personal reasons i do not like the treatment given in the parlours , infusing liquid in the hair pores would like going against nature and changing its course. Anyway, coming to the product, the keratin itself mentions it has straightening properties. Well, my experience has not been satisfying with this shampoo, rather when I have tried a keratin based shampoo, it has gone making my hair dry and limp.

My Take on The Product
The shampoo and conditioner come in a peachy brown coloured bottle with an olive golden flip flap cap. The bottle is pretty sturdy to carry around and travel with, they come in a range of sizes, so you could opt the one as per your needs and usage. I got them from Nykaa, most of my skin care and makeup is from nykaa.com
I tried this shampoo for the first time, the sizes I got have lasted a month, i use this shampoo only for a month, I experienced mixed results most of it were negative. I got a bigger shampoo bottle and a small conditioner bottle to try them out, since i heard a lot of raving reviews about it.
The shampoo comes in thick orange-colored liquid, the shampoo has a semi gel like consistency. If you thick and heavy hair like me, then you will have to wash your hair at least twice with the shampoo, as it does not lather that quickly due to absence of chemicals. The shampoo has a sweet and a very strong fragrance of coconut. It aroma lingers in the hair for a day or so. The shampoo cleanses hair and makes it soft. While washing I found my hair to dry out a bit.
The conditioner from the same range is extremely thick in consistency, often chemical free conditioners are thick in consistency. The conditioner is a saviour, it helps in moisturizing the hair after washing. The shampoo and conditioner help in controlling frizz up to a great extent. The product claims to straighten up hair cuticle give shine and make hair buttery smooth. I did not experience any of these apart from shine and frizz control, my hair became really rough and more coarse after using it. I have waves only at the ends of hair, which sometimes go untamed. I noticed hair going straight, but my hair became limp, dry and rough. I could not afford using it any longer as my hair was getting worse after its use. I guess the shampoo would work for somebody who has extremely curly hair and wavy hair. The effect of shampoo after prolonged use would have been different, but I did not notice any differences even after a month. The effects can also differ if you the entire range along with oil and serum. Overall, i think it did not give me satisfying results
Final Verdict:
It's difficult to give a verdict and call a product a dud, but I guess this shampoo was not for me, i will recommend all girls out there to not buy hair products by getting influenced by others opinion but always try products see it suits you or not. What might work for some hair type might not work for you.
