Ordering URLs by Forward Slash Count in Excel [2023]

Paste URLs in column A (give the column a catchy title like “URLs” in cell A1)

Put this formula in cell B2:

=LEN(A2)-LEN(SUBSTITUTE(A2,"/",""))

Drag the formula down

Order – Z to A

You will now have the URLs with the most “/” at the top of column A
