Orchard Toys very kindly sent us a game to review. Spooky Steps is a fun and exciting game for ages 4+ although Kody 2 was getting the hang of it in no time. Up to 4 players can join in.
It is a race against the other frogs and be the first to reach the magic potion, which will break the spell and turn you back into a human.
One, Two. Three, Four. Dare You Take One Step More?
The kids loved how it all depended on which card you turned over, to see if they were allowed to move their frog around the board and of course how many steps they could take.
We had a few sighs when they turned over a ghost or a cobweb, as they had to stay where they were.
This is a great game for mums to join in too and I was rather happy when I reached the magic potion and was no longer a frog. Although it took me a few times to actually spin to point to a person, I think someone liked me as a frog, as they kept me waiting long enough.
The board itself is great, its easy to put together and adds a little touch of witches and ghosts along with the haunted house.
The kids are thrilled with the game and ” Can we play again mum” could be heard at the end of the game.
