Have you gone orange yet? The Orange Is the New Black series on NetFlix is nothing short of ADDICTIVE. A dozen women with a dozen struggles mixed with drama, controversy, comedy and confinement. That’s Red’s recipe of success in this drama series {you’d get that if you watched!}. You sprinkle in some good acting and a dash of crazy – Let’s just say I was hooked after one episode.
Some Good Acting And A Dash Of Crazy
The show will tug on many emotional cords but not in that sobby, Lifetime-TV type of way. Meaning: I haven’t had to bring out the Kleenex. The acting is pretty good and the show didn’t skimp on the crazy. Got a weekend to spare? Or need a little “me-alone-time?” Grab a blanket, popcorn, your favorite tea and launch your own Orange Is the New Black marathon. Trust me, you’ll love it!
Makeup-Less And Mannish In Front Of Millions
I always admired Orange Is the New Black actresses for their rawness. Some characters play more “manly” roles and all are filmed with little to no makeup. This with a lot of close-ups and bad angles I must add.
The cast of women are beautiful. But… you still have to be a very confident woman to pull this role off. This coming from me, someone who wouldn’t walk from the doorstep to the mailbox without {at least} concealer. “Hey, you just never know“ is my motto! It’s my biggest insecurity so I’m in awe with women who can go makeup-less and mannish in front of millions.
Penitentiary-Pretty to Hollywood-Hotties
