When the warmer months roll around, I think it is really nice to mix up your makeup and add a few more bright colours into the mix. And what better color to brighten everything up than orange? I've had the Rimmel Kate lipstick (in the shade Coralista) sitting in my collection for a little while now and never really knew quite how to wear it properly. It's a gorgeous warm red/orange that is very similar to the infamous Topshop lipstick in Infrared, but the intense pigmentation and velvet-matte finish, means it's definitely one you have to be brave to rock. With the trend this year for orange lips, I knew that now was the time to try it out, and I'm just sorry that I didn't do it earlier.
Being so red based, it is actually a lot easier than I first expected to wear, and not at all the neon mess I feared. The color is bold, but the staying power is good, and it fades evenly to leave a nice stain, so you don't need to worry about it disappearing or appearing patchy. I paired it with a pretty simple look on the rest of my face, which I think would be perfect for both day and night. Just make sure you stay neutral with everything else so as to not over do it!
