Optus Prepaid Mobile Broadband Data Charges

Posted on the 29 March 2012 by Prepaidplans @prepaidplans

Optus have finally realized that charging data by 10mb increments (this means each time a session is started) really isn’t customer friendly particularly when they are the only ones in the market with this policy. Most others charge by the 1mb and some by the kilobyte. So from April 2012, Optus prepaid mobile broadband users will be charge per MB. This means that your data should last you quite a bit longer.

Hopefully Optus won’t reduce their data allowance to negate the change. Time will tell.
