Ever see an article of clothing while shopping and you just know it is meant to be? That is exactly how I felt when I spotted this floral print full skirt that felt like it was straight out of the 1950′s. I was lucky enough to get one in the winter to sport at New York Fashion Week, but have been on the hunt for one for the summer.
Then, I am in H&M on Wednesday night and there it is; the skirt I have been searching for! Apparently it was the skirt another girl had been searching for because we both definitely spotted it at the exact same moment. There was only one left on the rack. I hear her tell her friend, “Look at that skirt! I am buying that skirt!”.
She gets her hands on it first and I hover looking at a top right next to the skirt on the rack. All I could think was, ‘Please don’t let it be her size! Please don’t let it be her size!’. Then I hear her sigh as she looks at the tag, shrug her shoulders, and walk away. I check the tag and it was my size. Sweet victory!
There are so many ways to wear this skirt, but for the first time I paired it with a basic white tank, chunky t-strap sandals, a simple pendant necklace, a bright yellow clutch for a real pop of color.
It was all about skirts that night with both of my friends in statement skirts of their own!
If there is one worthwhile investment to add to your wardrobe this summer it is a full skirt. They are adorable, classic, and timeless!
