No one talks about how much time being a wife physically takes.
My husband had been away for a week on a boys trip. So since he was back to being a boy, I decided to go back to being a girl. And ... can I say that this has been the most wonderful week I have had in a long time. This is the 'me time' which I hadn't ever had until now. It didn’t involve any planning, traveling or even another human being.
Being alone at home freed up my evenings and weekends. Once I got done with work, every single second of the remaining day was my own. In just one week I managed to squeeze in a massage and a facial, both. What a luxury! I didn't step into the kitchen to make a single thing in those 7 days, there had been zero dishes to wash, and zero loads of laundry to wash and fold. I even managed to volunteer my time for a cause (I Support The Girls), went and watched a movie at the cinemas (Chhichhore), started and finished reading four books (check: Book Reviews), binge watched S3 of GLOW on Netflix and S6 of Younger on TVLand - Phew!
