By Bridgetteraes @BridgetteRaes

floral pants outfitsFor today’s, One Item, Five Fashionable Ways, a series I bring to you every Tuesday, I am in a summery mood and want to showcase a pair of floral pants.  I loved the print in this Jones New York pair, so bright yet sophisticated, that I chose these to put together floral pants outfits.

The goal of this series is to teach you all the ways you can wear one item a variety of ways and help you make your wardrobe less outfit driven.  By maximizing the use of one item through mixing and matching you can achieve this.  Whenever you buy a new item for your wardrobe, always try to put  multiple looks together using the new piece.  Not only will you create more options, but your shopping list of needs will become clearer.

Okay, now on to the five floral prints outfits I put together using this one piece.  For shopping information on all looks click the images below.

Floral Pants Outfit #1- Denim Shirt

A denim shirt is a great top option for floral pants.  Your experience with jeans has probably taught you that denim matches everything; a denim shirt is no exception.  Plus, how great does denim blue look with those pants?  To make it easy, I chose a pair of metallic sandals, which are probably the most versatile summer shoes you will ever own, brought in the pink further with a casual necklace and finished the outfit with metallic handbag, another versatile staple to consider for your wardrobe.

Floral Pants Outfit #2- Casual Tank & Cardi

A simple tank that matches one of the colors found in the print of your pants is an easy look for summer.   To make the outfit less matchy-matchy and pedestrian looking, I added the pop of a green purse.  As you know, I consider green one of the most versatile accessory colors.  Here, even thought there isn’t any green in the print, it fits right in to the overall look as an accent.  Finally, a summery white cardigan, which has been used in previous posts from this series, is can be to grab for cooler nights.

Floral Pants Outfit #3- Tie Front Blouse

If you’re looking for a new way to wear a white button-down shirt, the tie front blouse is trendy again, and looks casually neat with these pants.  Pulling the hot pink from the print, I chose a pair of ballerinas and bracelet in this shade.  Lastly, that versatile metallic handbag shows up again with some gold earrings that I have been used in past posts in this series.

Floral Pants Outfit #4- Navy Top

While a black top would work perfectly fine with these pants, I wanted to go with a color that was just as versatile as black but had more of a summery feel.  Navy is like a summer black and works beautifully with these floral pants.   When in doubt the metallic sandal will always work, which is why I encourage all of you to have a pair.  Lastly, some pink earrings, an easy gold necklace and a white handbag and the outfit is finished.

Look #5- Red Tunic Blouse

Just like I pulled out the pink found in the print in Look #2 earlier, I pulled the red from the print here and chose a tunic in the color.  The pants are slim fitting enough that a tunic works, and by just grabbing that metallic bag again, the gold earrings from previous looks, some bangles and a tan pair of platform sandals (that will also be a versatile pair to have on hand), you’ve got a fifth look from one pair of pants.

I hope these floral pants outfits give you some inspiration when putting outfits together in your wardrobe.
