on the Horizon

on the horizonWith August coming to a close, there are several of upcoming things I’m looking forward to these next few months!

I’m lucky enough to attend two weddings, both on the east coast. And that trip is right around the corner. I’m even luckier that I’ll get to hang out in Boston between the weddings and spend time with my family. The second wedding is for my friend Amy, who I made these invites for.

I also can’t wait to go apple picking while I’m in Massachusetts. I’ll be there just in time for the Gingergolds!

I’m also excited about a partnership with Umba Box.

They’re a wonderful company that delivers a box of handmade products to subscribers each month. I love the idea behind it, and am honored that they’d want to partner with me! So I’m currently working on making these earrings for them. It’s a great opportunity, but it’s also been a huge learning experience with regards to finding wholesale vendors and making things in a large quantity (I’m talking a couple hundred pairs of earrings here!) So that’s what has been filling my nights and weekends.

And come October, I’m looking forward to a couple events where I’ll be peddling my jewelry. one is the Urban Bazaar, a craft fair in mid-October. It will be my first outdoor fair, and I’m already hoping for good weather! The second is Art Official, a benefit that celebrates Dallas’ fine arts and artists. I’ll have a table there, and am excited to see all the work that our local artists are going to display.

Between all these things, autumn is just going to fly by. I guess I should give a nod to summer now, since it’ll be winter before I know it!
