On Her Head Finale & Tutorial

By Thehousethatlarsbuilt @houselarsbuilt
On her head Finale & tutorial We're at the finale of the One Her Head series, my collaboration with hair wonder, Rubi Jones of She Lets Her Hair Down, and photographer Jessica Peterson. You can see the other two parts here and here. Today I'm going to show you how to assemble the flowers to do your own headpiece. Sadly, I didn't get photos of how to actually put it on the head, but I'll try and describe it.
You will need: your choice of flowers, floral tape, wire, flower clippers, wire cutters, bobby pins. I chose monochromatic pink carnations, mostly because it was the only ok flower at Costco.
Step 1: Bring two flowers together, one below the other. Step 2: tape it together tightly. On her head Finale & tutorial
Step 3: Add another flower below the other two and tape.
Step 4-7: Add another and tape. Are you sensing a pattern? It's basically just flower, tape, flower tape.
Step 8: Use flower clippers to cut it right below the tape.

Step 10: With a piece of wire, create a circle shape to fit the head.
Step 11: Tape the flowers to the wire.
Step 12: Attach the piece to the head and secure with bobby pins.
Voila!
