There is nothing like love at first sight — or first listen. ON AN ON is the sort of band that grabs you from that first note — and each tone, each beat, each reverb-drenched, pristine melody thereafter. From the moment I heard their lead single “Ghosts”, I knew we had to get them in for a Buzzsession. Fortunately, the gang stopped by Degraw Sound in Brooklyn last month where we captured their performance of “Ghosts” and “The Hunter”. Watch both below and snag the recordings for free.
‘Buzzsessions’ is a live session series made by The Wild Honey Pie. With each new episode, we travel with a different band to a different part of New York City and record sometimes-intimate/sometimes-wild versions of two or three songs. This Buzzsession was shot at Degraw Sound, a Brooklyn recording studio on the Park Slope/Gowanus border, owned and operated by producer/engineer/musician Ben Rice (Blackbells, The Mooney Suzuki).
