Oh Hey, It Was My Birthday!

if you didn't know, friday was my birthday. my 28th birthday to be exact... ugh, one year closer to 30! the weather was crazy of course, but i couldn't expect 80 degree weather, well it could but that rarely ever happens. i came into work, with my desk decorated with balloons, cupcakes and a card. the day was rather unexciting. for dinner, jeremy and i went to the new brewery gordon biersch that opened up a couple of months ago. we enjoyed some of their fresh brewed beer and some delicious meals. i chose the beef medallions with crab stuffed shrimp and jeremy chose lobster and shrimp mac 'n cheese. both meals were amazing! the night ended with us listening to some live music and enjoying some ice cream.
saturday, after having a meeting for my thesis with my group and my group members, i spent a quiet afternoon at home. i did a little shopping and found some cute wedges and those gray boots on clearance on the aldo shoe website. i couldn't pass them up when they were only $30 a piece! later in the eveing, we headed to my parents house for a turkey dinner (my favorite meal) and pie. it was delicious. i received an awful rendition of happy birthday from my family members, and ended the night watching the buffalo sabres hockey game, which they ended up winning in a shoot out! yesterday, with the weather being gorgeous, jer and i took claymore on 2 walks before going to my inlaws for another round of birthday dinner. i was glad it was nice and relaxed, and spent most of my time playing and snuggling with my adorable nephew connor. i just love him to pieces :) how was your weekend? do you enjoy going out or keeping it low key for your birthday? i enjoyed the low key birthday for once :)  happy monday!
