Yesterday saw the release of the teaser trailer for “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them,” the eagerly awaited spinoff of the blockbuster “Harry Potter” franchise. Directed by “Harry Potter” veteran David Yates from a script by J.K. Rowling herself, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them is set in 1926 New York City, where magizoologist Newt Scamander has just completed a global excursion to find and document extraordinary magical creatures. He might have enjoyed his stopover without incident, if it weren’t for a No-Maj (the American term for “Muggle”) named Jacob, a misplaced magical case, and the escape of Newt’s fantastic beasts.
Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them opens in theaters Nov. 18,2016.
