Official Range Announced for Pillsbury Bake-Off

Pillsbury’s 47th annual Bake-Off is already well underway! Recipe submissions have been pouring in over the past few months, and in November they will be narrowed down to 100 finalists who will compete in Nashville, TN, for the grand prize, three recipe category prizes, and other assorted awards provided by the Bake-Off sponsors.

The finalists will be cooking with this stunning GE smoothtop convection range. GE has sponsored this contest for over 40 years, and this year along with the $1 million grand prize, the winner will receive their choice of $10,000 worth of GE kitchen appliances.

The GE JB750EFES electric range was chosen for its exceptional features that are appealing to any seasoned cook, including precision convection heating, a bridge zone, and a fifth element warming zone.

You may recall that last year’s contest had three different categories for recipes. This year, they have been reworked and there are now four. They are:

• Simply Sweet Treats (Submission Period: February 13 – March 27, 2014)
• Savory Sides & Snacks (Submission Period: February 13 – March 27, 2014)
• Weekend Breakfast Wows (Submission Period: March 27 – May 8, 2014)
• Amazing Doable Dinners (Submission Period: March 27 – May 8, 2014)

The first two categories are already closed for entries, but there is still time to enter your breakfast or dinner recipes. Check out the official Bake-Off website for the complete list of rules and guidelines.
