Long before M knocked me up, I vowed to never ever own a mumu while pregnant as that's pretty much the style equivalent of giving up on life. I was determined to get creative with maternity style and fashion together outfits from a closet already filled with billowy dresses and unrestrictive waistbands-a perk of being in an industry where tight bandage dresses have historically been a fashion taboo (before the reign of the Kardashians).
I love this shirtdress, a perfect wear to work maternity look that welcomes comfort while staying chic. Although my waist line is now nonexistent, I decided to cinch it with a belt anyway to keep the look a little more tailored. I love the unexpected shoulder detail which keeps people guessing as to if I'm wearing the dress backwards or not and of course, the off-the-shoulder detail is perhaps one of the only peek-a-boo skin exposure I can indulge in these days.
