Some people like mayonnaise, some like sour cream;
Some people like ketchup, but those people aren't me.
Some people use salsa, some people use dip;
Some like to use cheese to smother on their chips.
Some people cook with herbs, some with lots of spices;
Some even use chocolate — we all have our vices.
But when I need a hint of flavor, I have my go-to jar;
It sits inside the frig, it never strays too far.
Chicken, seafood, veggies and more;
Pita chips, pretzels, salads galore;
No matter what I'm eating, it always gives a kick
Something Special chili spread will never make me sick!
(Yes, I wrote an original poem about a product. Geez, I really have become obsessed with food!)
This is the best find my Bubby ever could have made. Thank you, Costco, for giving out samples of this amazing spread or we never would have come across it. It's only 25 calories per serving (1 tsp) and zero grams of fat. It has a little bit of a kick to it, so you don't need to use a lot to get its intense flavor. I literally use it on everything from snacks to main dishes and everywhere in-between. I use it as a salad dressing, as an alternative to mayonnaise when making tuna fish, as a dip for pita chips or various crudités, as a topping for entree dishes including chicken, shrimp, salmon, tilapia, flounder, crab cakes, and even lamb chops. I highly recommend using this product if you like to add a spicy, tangy taste to your food.
This will be a permanent fixture in my kitchen from now on. I'm not sure what retailers sell it. My Bubby found it at Costco and we haven't seen it anywhere else, but if you happen to stumble upon it during your next trip to the grocery store, I definitely suggest you throw a few jars in your cart.
