This is one of those instances where I kept hearing about this Philly hip hop duo that went by OCD, but I never really got around or made it a priority to sit down and just listen to them. However, last week rappers Twist and Moosh released their latest mixtape called Back to the Basement and it got me to pay attention. I found out about this tape this past weekend and since then I've had it on repeat, digesting the 15 tracks. These guys can certainly spit and mix in rhymes over undergound-type beats, but also can hit a mainstream sound like in "Top of the World." Their producers on this, DK and TyTyAmerica are the perfect two for these guys and I expect some big things from them all in the coming year. Stream and download the tape below.
