But FBI statistics say more black cops kill blacks than white cops kill blacks.
Obama at a speech in Chicago on Oct. 20, 2014
Fact #1
On Monday, Dec. 8, 2014, Obama gave his first televised interview since a Staten Island grand jury decided not to indict the (white) New York cop who killed (black) Eric Garner.
In a one-on-one interview with BET Networks, “A Conversation with President Barack Obama,” the President of the United States of America imagined himself to be a psychiatrist and descended to race-baiting. He blamed the mistrust between law enforcement and black communities on (white) cops who have a “subconscious fear of folks who look different” and so do not treat everybody (i.e., blacks) fairly:
“The vast majority of law enforcement officers are doing a really tough job, and most of them are doing it well and are trying to do the right thing. But a combination of bad training, in some cases, a combination in some cases of departments that really are not trying to root out biases, or tolerate sloppy police work; a combination in some cases of folks just not knowing any better, and in a lot of cases, subconscious fear of folks who look different — all of this contributes to a national problem that’s going to require a national solution.
This country is at its best when everybody is being treated fairly. We have a history and a legacy of people not being treated fairly in all kinds of walks of life,” he said during the 30-minute special, titled “It is particularly important for people to feel like they’re being treated fairly by law enforcement and police, because the consequences when they’re not treated fairly can be deadly.”

Fact #2
According to the U.S. Department of Justice’s Bureau of Justice Statistics, the rate of black officers who kill black felons is 32 per 100,000 black officers, which is more than twice the rate of white officers who kill black felons – 14 per 100,000 white officers. (H/t AJG; Mark Alexander of The Patriot Post)
From the Bureau of Justice Statistics:
White male officers accounted for 83% of justifiable homicides from 1976 to 1998 and black male officers accounted for 14%. […] Since, according to latest available statistics (1998), approximately 87% of all police officers in the United States are white (11% are black and 2% are of other races), by chance alone the likelihood is high that the officer who kills a nonwhite felon is white. The likelihood is also high that the officer who kills a white felon is white. It should not be surprising to find that most black felons killed by police (just as most white felons killed by police) are killed by a white police officer. […] A common policy is to assign black officers to black neighborhoods. Consequently, it might be expected that, when a black officer kills a felon, there is a high likelihood that the felon is also black. In line with that expectation, national statistics indicate that most of the felons killed by black officers are themselves black. […] The black-officer-kills-black-felon rate is 32 per 100,000 black officers in 1998, which is higher than the white-officer-kills-black-felon rate of 14 per 100,000 white officers. […] The white-officer-kills-white-felon rate is 28 per 100,000 white officers in 1998, which is higher than the black-officer-kills-white-felon rate of 11 per 100,000 black officers.
In other words, more black cops kill black felons than white cops kill black felons. Hey, Obama, is that because those black cops have a “subconscious fear of folks who look different”?
Fact #3
Although blacks account for disproportionately more violent crimes, the rate of black felons being killed by police (of whatever race) has actually declined.
From the Bureau of Justice Statistics:
In 1998 blacks made up 12% of the population age 13 or older but accounted for 40% of persons arrested for violent crime and 35% of felons killed by police. […]
Among persons killed by police, white males outnumbered black males. […] A growing percentage of felons killed by police are white, and a declining percentage are black.
Race of felons killed
1978 50% white 49% black
1988 59% white 39% black
1998 62% white 35% black
Fact #4
Furthermore, instead of white cops killing black felons, the real problem that no one talks about is one of blacks disproportionately killing white cops.
From the Bureau of Justice Statistics:
From 1980 to 1998, young black males made up about 1% of the U.S. population but 21% of felons who murdered a police officer; young white males were 8% of the population but 20% of the murderers of law enforcement officers. Young black males murdered police officers at a rate almost 6 times that of young white males (5.7 versus 1 per million population)
Fact #5
Eric Garner’s daughter and mother both say racism was not involved in his death.
Conclusion:
The President of the United States Barack Hussein Obama, aka Barry Soetoro, who’s the boss of the Department of Justice, doesn’t know the DOJ’s own crime and race statistics but instead, makes stuff up (“unconscious fear of folks who look different”) to stir the pot and to race bait.
Shame on you.
