What Does Nutmeg Fragrance Oil Smell Like?

Nutmeg Fragrance Oil from Nature’s Garden is a true-to-name scent that fully embodies the aroma of the nutmeg spice.  Spicy and woodsy, this fragrance is a solid choice if you are looking for a bold nutmeg aroma.  Slightly herbal undertones give this fragrance oil a soft edge that cannot be ignored!

How Do Our Customers Use Nutmeg Fragrance Oil in Room Scenting Recipes?

Nutmeg scent adds a unique element to room scenting products, delivering a sweet, woodsy spice!  Room scenters can blend up to 7.4% of this fragrance oil in projects.  In addition, this scent performs exceptionally well in sachet beads and smelly jellies.  This fragrance oil is also strong in incense and potpourri.

Homemade candle crafters can use Nutmeg Fragrance Oil up to 7.4% with vegetable waxes and paraffin wax.  This scent will perform perfectly in Joy Wax, Wow Wax, and is also nice and strong in soy waxes.  Give your candles and homemade wax tarts some color by adding one drop of brown liquid candle dye per 4 pounds of wax.  You can also color your melted wax with a small amount of brown color blocks.  Remember, never use crayons to color your candles as they will clog your wick, preventing a proper burn!

How Do Our Customers Use Nutmeg Fragrance Oil in Bath and Body Recipes?

Nutmeg Fragrance Oil can also be used to create fresh, spicy bath and body products.  If you are making cold process soap, you may use this fragrance up to 5% of your total recipe.  Our Cold Process Soap Testing Results show that this fragrance oil performed nicely!  There was no ricing, acceleration, separation, or discoloration.  Further, the cured soap exhibited a good scent retention.  We personally feel as though the natural color of cured soap accurately represents this fragrance.  If you do wish to color your soap, you may use soap dye in the amount that satisfies you.  Remember not to use candle dyes in any of your bath and body products as they are not body safe.

Lastly, Nutmeg Fragrance Oil can be used to create a wide array of distinct, earthy products.  Bath gels, bath fizzies, and bath melts were found to perform well when the recommended maximum of 1.7% fragrance oil is incorporated.  Handcrafted perfumes and other recipes such as lotions, creams, or body sprays that will stay on the skin can utilize a maximum of 1% fragrance oil.  Homemade cleaning supplies also perform well with a maximum fragrance usage of 1.7%.
