Now You Can Install and Run Firefox OS Apps on Android, Here’s How

If you have the latest Firefox installed on your Android phone, you can try out some of these web apps for free, without even having to install Firefox OS. Actually, you can even forget about those Android/Firefox dual-boot phones.

Here’s how to do it-

  1. First of all, install the very latest of Firefox for Android
  2. Go to Settings > Security and enable app installs from Unknown Sources
  3. Now, open Firefox and visit marketplace.firefox.com (refer to image on top)
  4. Browse for apps, install whatever you want and have fun

After installing the app will appear in the app drawer and you will have to option to even update the app afterwards. However, keep in mind that an internet connection is required to run the apps. Firefox Marketplace may not have many great apps at the moment, but this new move by Mozilla will definitely make a difference very soon. Now, Firefox OS app developers gets the chance to reach users from two platforms at once.
